CONTENT WRITING
THE KNOT WORLDWIDE (1.75 years)
I began my time at the world-leading wedding planning website, The Knot Worldwide as a Content Manager with my primary focus being creating and reviewing Google Ads for our account holders. After several months, I moved over to the Content Writing team where I wrote SEO-optimised descriptions to help vendors inform potential customers about their products and services. I loved the creative freedom I had within this role and the challenge of finding new ways to express businesses individuality and help convert that to sales.
HITCHED (1 YEAR)
Hitched is a wedding planning service with both Irish and UK websites. I created content for both, primarily writing descriptions for the UK branch and writing long-form affiliate articles for Ireland. These tasks were challenging and rewarding in different ways and helped further my skills as a writer.
THE BUMP (1 year)
The Bump is a pregnancy and parenting planning website which I had the great pleasure of creating content for. You know those adorable descriptions that describe the meaning of a name? My job was to write them. The task involved a lot of research into the roots of names and any folklore or history associated with it but also required a lot of creativity to keep it fun and fluffy. Here are a selection of some of my favourites.
