Sparks fly in Roisin Dubh for monthly Taylor Swift night
Taylor Swift fan? Welcome to Roisin Dubh! You belong here for their monthly Taylor Swift Fan Club night.
By Enya McIntyre
The event dubbed ‘SWIFTOGEDDON’ gives Taylor Swift fans a night to gather and fearlessly sing lyrics they know all too well (okay, I’ll stop with the puns now).
“I’ve been a Taylor Swift fan for over 10 years, it’s such a nice atmosphere here being able to sing songs you’d never hear played in a nightclub otherwise”, says first time attendee, Ciara.
Established in 2022, the monthly event continues to attract crowds.
“Tickets almost always sell out. We have about 550 people here every month for Taylor”, says Roisin Dubh.
A night like this removes any bad blood (can’t resist) fans may have about Swift’s failure to announce Ireland as part of The Eras Tour.
“All my Spotify is Taylor Swift, I love this night and Taylor” says Darragh who attended with his brother’s girlfriend aka a fellow Swiftie.
Beginning at 9pm and running all the way to 2am guarantees airplay for all your favourite T-Swift classics.
In addition to being Galway’s home of comedy, the Roisin Dubh has staged many great musical acts over the years including Two Door Cinema Club, The Coronas and The Academic.
This Galway city venue takes pride in supporting upcoming Irish artists who frequently take to the stage here.
NewDad, Telebox and Jossle are three to name a few.
If you missed this month’s Swiftogeddon, no need to fear.
We ARE getting back together - next month for another night of Taylor so keep your eyes pealed for tickets.
